Back to school: Encourage kids to talk about their day

School is back! Parents are often curious to know how their children are doing , and hope they will take the initiative to tell them what is happening at school!

#StayOkayHK wants to suggest some tips for parents to skillfully refresh their children's memories and encourage them to talk more about their school life!

Here are some some open-ended questions that parents can ask:
What was the funniest thing that happened at school today?
What was your favorite thing/time today?
What did you find most challenging today and how did you respond?
Did anything make your teacher smile or laugh?
Did anything make you or your friend sad today?

In addition, we recommend parents to create a routine or designate a time for these chats , such as on the way home from school, during dinner time, or before bedtime, to slowly develop the habit of talking to the children about their school life.
