Set a regular bedtime

We may often lack a proper sleep schedule and quality sleep due to our busy lives, but having a proper night’s sleep is very important for our physical and mental health, and quality sleep gives us the energy to get through the day.

StayOkayHK is here to share some sleeping tips to ensure you have quality sleep  and wake up ready to start the day!

1. Set a regular bedtime

Going to bed at a consistent time trains our internal body clock. After sleeping at the same time for a while, you will start to feel tired at your regular bedtime, which will eventually help you fall asleep more easily.

2. Prepare your room

Before bed, ensure that the lights have been dimmed, your room is at a comfortable temperature, and  there are no distractions. This will help you start to wind down and relax before sleeping.

3. Avoid electronic use before bedtime.

Exposing yourself to too much light before sleeping will make your body think it’s daytime, making you feel more awake and making it hard to fall asleep. So make sure that you put away your electronics 30 minutes—1 hour before bedtime.

4. Relax before bedtime

Doing some activities to help you relax before going to bed can help you sleep. Listening to calming music, meditation, reading a book, or taking a relaxing bath  are all ways to relax your mind before going to bed.

With these tips for quality sleep, #StayOkayHK hopes you can sleep well every day !
